Sizewell C
In advance of Sizewell C’s construction, Oxford Cotswold Archaeology have been working with EDF on one of the largest archaeological projects ever undertaken in the east of England to uncover the millennia long history of human occupation in the area.

Project
Digging into 14,000 years of A66 archaeology
With over 75 archaeologists, more than 66 acres excavated, and 548 days of excavation and counting, archaeology on the A66 has uncovered a landscape shaped by thousands of years of travel, trade and people living their everyday lives in the Eden Valley. From Penrith to Brough, these are some of the standout discoveries from the A66 project, and the stories they tell about the people who once lived, worked and travelled through this landscape.
