This year our Oxford Cotswold Archaeology (OCA) team along with National Highways had a rare opportunity to excavate a Roman cemetery as part of the A66 Northern Trans-Pennine project. Located near a known Roman fort near Brougham in Cumbria, our archaeologists have spent months carefully excavating over 250 cremations! Watch our team uncover some beautifully preserved artifacts from the past, including countless decorated pottery, glass cups, and more!
