Join us at Tullie for a chance to explore fascinating archaeological discoveries from the A66 Northern Trans-Pennine project and learn more about the area’s rich heritage. Find us in the welcome space in the foyer and the reading room, accessed via the gardens.

Why Tullie?

Tullie represents the final chapter in the journey of the A66 artefacts. Once the project is complete, the archaeological archive and finds will be deposited here, ensuring they remain accessible for future research, learning, and enjoyment. We therefore felt there was no better place to conclude the Field Museum tour than the museum that will become their long-term home.

Opening Times

Saturday 14 October – Sunday 15 October | 10:00am – 4:00pm

Admission is free and visitors are welcome to drop in at any time during opening hours.

Parking

There is no on-site parking available at Tullie. However, several city centre car parks are located within a short walk of the museum. The nearest is Castle Car Park (CA3 8UL), approximately a 5-minute walk away..

Accessibility

Tullie is an accessible venue and includes:

• Disabled parking spaces are on Castle Street (CA3 8TP), close to the museum entrance;
• Step-free access throughout the exhibition;
• Accessible toilet facilities.

Dogs

Assistance dogs are welcome.

Food and refreshments

Food and refreshments are available at Tullie in their cafe – Cafe Tullie.

As the exhibition is located in Carlisle city centre, there are also a wide range of cafés, restaurants, and takeaway options within a short walking distance of the venue.
