A417, Gloucestershire: The archaeology of the ‘Missing Link’

Alex Thomson, the project’s Fieldwork Manager, will be presenting the latest archaeological discoveries on the route of the A417 ‘Missing Link’ in Gloucestershire. The site has unearthed a wealth of remarkable artefacts spanning various historical periods, including the Mesolithic, Neolithic, Bronze Age and Iron Age and the Roman period.  Artefacts have also been found from the Second World War.
